We had approached few IDs and contractors for quotations. This is the process which you can speak to them and understand their personality and character.
We approached Bhernard and felt comfortable dealing with him. For Bhernard, he is extremely responsive. He is not pushy to force you to do this and that which caused you over-budget in the end. I personally asked him a lot of questions on site he is enough to share plenty of housing tips with me.
In terms of work, his workers are very easy going person as well. When you are on site, they will confirm your requirement before they begin their work. If you are not around, Bhernard will reach you out to confirm your requirements again. Good quality of work at a reasonable price.
Overall, I would highly recommend Bhernard if you are looking for contractor to do carpentry work or some minor works such as electrical and ceiling works.

Choosing a contractor is never an easy task. My wife & I have went around sourcing for a reliable ID before we got our new home. Alas, we could not find someone we could connect with. Thankfully, a friend introduced us to Bhernard, and once we met, we connected at once and felt at ease dealing with him. Throughout the renovation process, he personally supervised & ensured all jobs were done on time and most importantly, to the high quality standards he expects from his own work! Personally, dealing with Bhernard felt more like friends then ID & customer relationship. At the end of the day, my wife & I got our dream home, at reasonable cost, and good quality finishing! We choose D'sign & Build after meeting with a few IDs and contractors. Most of them give us the impression that they just want our business and not interested in our needs. Like 99% of the population we tried to Google more about D'sign & Build but we did not find much information. However when we meet up with Bhernard from D'sign & Build, he gave us a very good impression as he was sincere and upfront on what he can or cannot do. He also gave us good advices on how certain things can be done better.
During the renovation we encounter some issues with one of the vendor (hired by us) and Bhernard came down on a Sunday afternoon to help us see what is the problem and provide advice on how to fix it and also how to talk to the vendor. During the renovation, Bhernard is very responsive to our SMS. Sometimes when we have a question for him at 2am, he will also respond.
In term of the pricing, D'sign & Build is very competitive and because they are upfront with the price, there is no hidden charges or final bill shock.
Many of my friends and relatives have commented they have very good workmanship. During my conversations with Bhernard, I know that he take pride in his work and the end product. So you can be assured of the quality provided.
My renovation was completed around September 2015 and in March 2016, I received a message from him checking if everything is fine. How's that for after sale service!
This review would not be fair and balance if I only talked about the good points. The only reason why I gave only 4 stars is that sometimes he might forget about things that we have discussed and you will need to remind him again. It is not something that happen frequently but something he can improve on that. When we signed with D'sign & Build they did not provide any 3D drawing (maybe because my renovation is not a major one).
Overall we are very pleased with the quality of his work and I would definitely recommend my friends to use his service.
